Welcome

Therapy is about having a space to untangle what’s going on for you. You may feel distressed, but unsure of what is troubling you. Perhaps you’re aware that an event or events in your life have caused you suffering, and you are struggling to move forward. Or you may just be looking for somewhere you can offload and be heard.

Whatever you bring, together we can find meaning and understanding by building a relationship of trust and safety. I will work with you to provide a space where you feel safe and supported to heal, grow and flourish. No matter what you’ve experienced or are feeling there is hope and potential to lead a positive and fulfilling life.

My practice is grounded in person-centred theory, which means our work together will be guided by you. The heart of therapy lies in the relationship we build, and I’ll work alongside you to nurture that connection with compassion, acceptance, and honesty.

In addition to person-centred practice, I have trained in other therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic (exploring past relationships and patterns) and gestalt (focusing on awareness in the here and now). I draw flexibly from these different theories to tailor my approach to your individual needs. My work is trauma-informed, and I place great importance on creating a safe, gentle space where healing can happen without causing further harm.

I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Over the past decade, I have worked in charities across Bristol, supporting both young people and adults from a wide range of backgrounds. My experience includes helping individuals with low mood, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and self-worth, problematic drug and alcohol use, relationship and family breakdown, and loss. I have worked therapeutically with survivors of sexual abuse.

As a registered member of the BACP I adhere to their ethical framework. A commitment to ongoing training and development, as well as my own therapeutic journey enables me to continuously improve my offer of support and grow alongside my clients.

Sessions

  • Each session costs £60

  • Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and we will meet on a weekly basis.

How long we work together will ultimately be up to you. I work open ended, and will offer regular opportunities to review our work together to ensure you are getting what you need.

  • I offer therapy in person (BS3) and online (Zoom), depending on what feels most comfortable for you.

  • Accessing therapy can feel incredibly overwhelming.

To help put you ease and answer any questions you have, I offer a free phone consultation for up to 20 minutes. This is an opportunity to explore what you are looking for and see if the way I work feels right for you.
